I own a Lionel 752E diesel set that I have been restoring.  I have finished painting and just about finished with the re-assembly.

If my thinking is correct, then Lionel attached felt strips to the inside corners of the passenger car bodies on originals to prevent the body from scraching the paint on the surface of the vestibule.

If this is true, what are some suggestions for replacement felt to attach to the body?

I have several questions that concern the 754 observation car.

Do I have the correct screw to mount the rear truck to underbelly of the car.  *Please see attached pictures.*  The screw does fit the threaded hole, but it appears there might be a spacer missing that should prevent the truck from rubbing up against the frame.  Those of you that's repaired one of these, please let me know if I'm missing anything.

Another question, is the light socket and bracket that mounts in the tail of the observation car the same as the one in the vestibule?

I bought this set in pieces with intentions to restore it.  Unfortunately, Lionel does not provide exploded parts diagrams for prewar items which can make it difficult to determine screw sizes and part numbers if your missing one of those items, lol.
