Does anyone know if this engine can squeeze around a curve tighter than O-72? Perhaps a Ross O-64 or O-54 for example. If not, I have to do one very major layout plan change for which I can't see an alternative right now. Man, I don't know what I was thinking! One of those "brain dead" moments that seem to be happening more and more frequently these last few years .....

I knowingly bought a loco that wouldn't go around all the curves of my holiday layout. I did have a long enough run to do some photo runs, backing up and swapping ends of the train. It beat sitting it on a shelf!
I have a Weaver M1a on a layout of O-54. I have to restrict speed. Surprisingly the curves are not the problem. You will get a "Klunk and Bang" through some of the O-54 switches.
Thanks people!

I have the Lionel M1a and it runs nicely on 054. Smokes well.
I have run mine on Atlas O-54. It looks a bit awkward on those curve - much better on 72 inch, but it chuggs along nicely. I don't know about switches - I use 72" switches only throughout so I don't know how it does on tighter switches.
Would you believe O36 Fastrack - I do it on a regular basis - never mind how it looks doing it.
