Or at least mine have. Has anyone actually seen the cars yet? Specifically the observation car?
I won't get to pick mine up until tomorrow at the earliest.

Weird, I just searched and it's still showing them on the Shipping Schedule for me. I wonder if it was only a partial shipment.
Just looked at Lionels shipping schedule and saw the following:
6-25622 | Milwaukee Road Passenger Car (4Pk) | Sep, 13 | '10 V2 |
Very strange... I could have sworn it was no longer listed when I looked a few days ago!

Picking mine up tomorrow as well Charlie, it is only a partial shipment and it is only a few sets so most people are going to have to wait a little longer.
Great news I hope to see these running proud in the next Detroit 3 railers get together?
I wonder which dealers will be getting them. My guess would be the bigger dealers who get their merchandise directly from Lionel? My dealer gets his merchandise from a distributor and when I talked to him last Friday, he was not aware when he will be getting them.
Great news guys, hope to see mine soon. But I live in the mid-west, so guess I will be waiting a bit longer.
I wonder if I'll be lucky enough to receive mine from this shipment? They will look beautiful alongside the dome & diner coaches that I received a few weeks ago.
It will be interesting to see who will get them and how long the rest of us will have to wait. I found out from my dealer last week that he only had the 4 car pack on order and not the 2 car pack. He offered me the cars last year when I bought my S-3 from him, but he did not tell me he only had the 4 car pack order. I called Charles Ro last Friday after finding out and was able to get their last 2 car pack. I am glad I was able to get them without too much searching around. Please share some photo's, if you get yours. Thanks.
I feel good for all of you who have been waiting for these cars for a very long time.
Here is a quick look.
That is a nice looking car. I dont think anyone should be dissapointed

Hey, any luck in seeing the other cars.
Roger maybe tomorrow.
Charlie GREAT looking car WOW.
Very nice. I look forward to getting mine. Hopefully, it won't be to long of a wait. Thanks for sharing.
Anyone else receive their 4 packs ? How about some pictures from those of you who have received your 4 packs. Inquisitive minds wonder

Yes, K-Line made lots of 18" aluminum cars. They are the same as the 15" and 21" except for length. They did the 18" in Milwaukee Road, including the Skytop observation and the Super Dome.
Jeff and Southwest Hi are correct. I have an eight car set of them and of course, they are beautiful.

How are the glass windows set? Inside or out? Don
Don, they are slightly out with a chrome paint border (frame). Still, look good.
Anybody else get their's?

Uh oh............
Since the conversations about Lionel passenger cars always degenerates into a back and forth about the windows alone... I shall refrain from posting any more pics of my cars.
I like them, they look good to me and I'm sure many of those who receive them will like them too.
Charlie, I never met a Milwaukee Road passenger car I didn't like. Enjoy.

Charlie, I really appreciate your thoughts on these cars....I am looking forward to receiving mine also. I would not know what is right or wrong with the windows if I saw them. Hope you have a great week.
Anyone know which dealer or distributor might have any extras?
I was with Charlie when he opened that car. I think the car and window trim look very good and really set off the beauty of the car. Those that have them ordered will be very pleased with them.

I will be getting my 4 pack tomorrow. However, my 2 car pack is suppose to come from Charles Ro which I ordered over a week ago. I have contacted them two times about the status and keep on saying they will ship on the day I call them, but they don't. I see no charge on my credit card nor have I gotten shipping confirmation number. I think it is strange that it is taking this long for them to ship it. Has anyone else had a problem with shipping from Charles Ro?
Mich, I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. I was just thinking about buying the Lionel cars if they at all matched my K-line cars. They wouldn't with either the paint or the windows. The paint job looks much better than my cars. Don
The Lionel cars are painted for the current excursion train, in a hybrid paint scheme not exactly matching any in-service Milwaukee Road decoration. The as-delivered 1948 Hiawatha paint scheme had maroon letterboards and a grey roof. This scheme was replaced a few years later with a simplified scheme. The roof was painted black and the letterboards were eliminated; "The Milwaukee Road" was lettered directly onto the orange. The K-Line cars are decorated in this scheme, which was the last maroon and orange paint job before the switch to UP yellow. The excursion train has maroon letterboards and a black roof. I am not sure if some cars had their roofs painted black in the 1950's while retaining the maroon letterboards. Some photos appear to show this combination, but it's easy for grey to look like black in a photo, depending on the light when the photo was taken and what kind of film was used.
I like the color scheme Lionel is using, but like Don, I have lots of the K-Line cars and I don't intend to add Lionel cars with a different paint scheme to the mix. The windows are not a deal breaker for me (I have the Lionel Hiawatha set, which also has the protruding windows), but they are definitely a negative factor. I find it hard to understand why Lionel keeps doing this when it wouldn't be all that difficult to change to flush windows.
Charlie, I like the cars very much too, and I would ignore the "window" comments.
Congratulations on a nice purchase.
I'm still waiting to hear from Charles Ro that my 4 car set has shipped, but I do have my 2 car set and it is beautiful.
Yes, the windows do stick out a tiny fraction of an inch, but I don't think that this shows very much unless you are really looking for it. The chrome frames make the windows blend in very nicely in my opinion.
As far as paint matching goes, they match my F7 units beautifully, and they look fine mixed in with my WBB Hiawatha set.
I hope that I'm lucky and that my 4 car set arrives soon.
Here are my 2 cars mixed in with my WBB set and Legacy F7s.
