Starting in 2003, Lionel has been producing a version of the AF Moe & Joe Flatcar.
How many of the individual wood planks have been included with each car? The instruction manual and Lionel website don't have conclusive answers.
Thanks!

A even better question is where to get additional wood planks.
The part number is 6306727049 but Lionel hasn't had any in the last couple of years.
There are 6 planks.
I picked up an MKT Moe and Joe car a few months back on eBay. It came nib with 6 planks.

Darrell & Gary:
Many thanks for the help.
Now, just to cover all the bases, can someone confirm the (6) number with the first-issue 6-36727 Weyerhauser Moe & Joe from 2003?
Jim, contact Jeff at ttender.com. He has them listed under his LTI 620-, 630- etc. section. I don't know if they're original or repro.
Regards,
Todd
I would imagine any American Flyer parts dealer would have 'planks' for sale. I bought some planks from a parts dealer at the last Gilbertsville, PA show.
I bought my #6-36727 Weyerhaeuser "Moe & Joe" opertaing lumber car from WB's Trains. Mine came with five boards in a sealed plastic bag. The bag is still sealed with the five boards.

OK so I',m not always right, but didn't I just count 9 planks on the moe and joe car just shown on UTUBE?
I thought mine came with 10 but I guess I need to find it and recount.

Mr. Vic:
Many thanks!
Todd
Rod,
I don't know how many planks are supposed to come with the set.
I don't have a "Moe & Joe" car, but if it has an instruction sheet, the sheet might inform how many planks come in a set.
If, your set came with 10 planks, then you are ahead of the game, if 9 is the set amount, or maybe the videographer put a total of 9 planks?
The Lionel Manual, on page 4, shows 6 planks:

Mine was used, so maybe the former owner added planks. I recounted and I have 10.
Sweet action car.

I have an 0 gauge Moe & Joe flatcar and I'd like to get some spare planks but the only available planks are for the AF version. In the Lionel website pictures, the AF planks appear "longer" than those on the 0 gauge car, so perhaps both versions share the same mechanics.
Does anyone happen to know if the AF Moe & Joe flatcar planks work with the 0 gauge car?
