I Can't Believe that Out of the Thousands and Thousands of OGR Forum Members Not One Person Has A Lionel O-Gauge Fastrak Template to sell me or if They don't want or need their Template anymore they could be kind to just send the Template by mail. The reason I'm looking for the Template is because I don't have a Computer to use a software and I CAN'T DRAW if my Life dependent on it.

I hope there is someone out there who could help me PLEASE!!!

...When Fastrak was first introduced I believe it was in the early 2000. I saw in a small article in a model train magazine or it could have been in one of the Lionel Catalogs introducing the Template for those who want to design a Layout using Fastrak because the Template is different from the Tubular Track Template.

Sincerely

Allan Martinez

@Allan Martinez So are you looking for a drawing template (smaller than actual track size) similar to the Tinplate one (Posted above by Mitch) that you can use it to draw a FasTrack layout on a smaller than actual size scale?

OR are you wanting paper templates that are actual track size, or something else entirely different?

Steve like the Template Mitchell is showing it's just like that, but for Fastrak. The only thing that is different about this Template is the size of the items on the Tubular Tracks.

Allan

Ok, this all makes sense now.  After spending some time searching elsewhere on the internet, I don't know where to get one of these drawing templates, maybe someone else here does.

Allan,

There is one track-planning software that is completely free to use, XtrkCAD, and it can be used on Windows, Mac or Linux operating systems.  You can find it on-line and download it for free when you get your computer.

However, I highly recommend you buy a Windows computer because a lot more (and some free) track-planning software runs on Windows.  In fact, I'm only aware of one other track-planning software that runs on Mac, and that is Rail Modeller Pro, and you have to buy that one.  There are many more choices under Windows, and most will run just fine on even a cheap (under $500) laptop.  With Black Friday nearing, it will be a good time to pick up a cheap laptop.
