I got the two Lionel oil pumps I ordered this weekend. I connected one right up to my ZW-C to see how it looked. As soon as I gave it power it started, stuttered then a pop and then it quit all together. The pop was it breaking completely free from the base. So something was miss aligned or bent and it self destructed. Has anyone else had issues like this with theirs? Being I also have a Cab-2 with a stuck AUX1 button, I'll be calling Lionel to get it replaced, but still kinda sad that it didn't even last 30 seconds.
The other one works. How long can I leave it running for? Is it something I can leave on for the whole operating session, or should it not run for more than like 5 minutes at a time and then sit to cool off? And any way to quiet it down? Otherwise my son's think they are awesome. I love it too. I've always been a fan of watching grasshopper pumps and looking of them on long family vacation drives.
