I've been trying to contact Lionel orders, and I keep getting a message that it's not their normal operating hours. Anyone have a phone number to make a phone order?

I placed a phone order about an hour ago. Only waited on hold about 1 minute. 586-949-4100
They said they were getting really busy taking orders. They tried to have me order online until I told them many of my parts were call in parts.
That's the number I called and they said it was outside normal hours!
Maybe they shut it down temporarily to catch up, or all lines were busy?
I just got through, but I can't figure out how to order, they don't have a parts order option on the menu! What menu option did you use?
Option 2 (customer service), then I think Option 2 (O and S gauge trains warranty service). Whoever answers takes the orders. There is no parts option specifically.
Thanks, I haven't ordered by phone in a long time, couldn't figure it out.
Why not order online? Something not coming up on the website?
Really simple Gary, because the parts I want say "Must call Lionel".
I tried to place an online parts order the other day, but kept getting a notice saying it "couldn't be processed as submitted"...
...so I just gave up.

Ahhh, forgot that one. Bet they are overwhelmed today
Only call if you have "Must Contact Lionel to Order" parts. Even then, I was told that they'll only take those on the phone and you have to order the rest online. I only ordered 3 parts and they were all "must contact..." but sat on hold for a while before someone picked up.

They took my whole order on the phone (both regular and "Call Lionel" items), but it wasn't a huge order. I would be irritated if my order got broken in two and I got charged twice for shipping.
Sounds like what they told me. Im guessing people have been calling trying to order 3 pages on the phone and clearly they dont want to do that. The "hobbyist" size orders they must be tolerating if there's "must call" parts on it.
Ahhhh the old 50% off parts sale.
What a great way to expedite the growing issue of the "lack of parts availability" for modern trains.
I guess it's a double whammy since Lionel can also refuse repairs for items there are no parts for. Pure genius.
Got into them today...Katie was a great help.

Maybe so Rick, but then I'll have the parts to fix them.
It has been about 20 years since I ordered anything from Lionel usually I call one of several parts dealers I have done business with at shows. Is there any code one must enter when ordering online to get the 50% off. Are there exceptions to the discount ? j
Which brings up. When is the 1/2 price sale
Shawn, it's going on right now until Sunday at midnight.

I don't know of any exceptions, but all you have to do is enter an order, they show the discounts on the spot this year. In previous years, the discount was applied at checkout.
