I have a Lionel Plug & Play gateman 82744 that I hope to activate by using a DZ-1075 detector. This forum has given me some great information as to how to wire the DZ-1075 to operating signals but when I try to follow that pattern for the gateman the figure does not exit the shanty. The Plug & Play gateman has a pigtail with a red, black and white wire. I have connected the red and blue wires from the 1075 to the power. I have connected the black wire from the 1075 to the black wire from the gateman and connected those to a common ground. I have connected the red wire from the gateman to the grey wire from the 1075. I have connected the white wire from the gateman to the white wire from the 1075.
The gateman lights up just fine but the figure does not come out when the 1075 senses an object. The red light on the 1075 is lit when it senses an object.
I like that the lights stay on constantly so am trying the understand what I did wrong.
Any suggestions?
