I finally got a complete set of Lionel Madison cars. They are runners, not shelf queens, but they look nice running behind the 2332 GG1.

Has anyone already gone through the effort to find a way to replace the frosted window inserts for these? Apparently everyone else wants the one with silhouettes, which are available on eBay, but I wanted to have plain frosted like the original.

I have done some initial research, and it looks like drafting or art supply dealers may have polyester matte, or Mylar double matte that could do the trick. Its just that I don't need to buy a 100' roll for 12 windows.

I used mylar, shiny side out, frosted side in. I did it so long ago, I don't remember the source for the mylar, but I probably had it because I am a designer. But I haven't used drafting paper for years now, all CAD.

Try contacting an architect or ebay. I never liked the figure silhouette's either. Cheesy.

pgbsr has a good idea- sand some clear report covers.
