A newly aquired Twin Bin Dump car has an issue with one gate not closing all the way(lazy gate). The adjustment lever is up all the way so I was trying to disassemble it to see it could be adjusted out. Unlike most postwar cars, disassembly is not obvious. The Greenberg and K-Line Service & Repair books aren't offering much info. Anyone's tips or insight about this would be much appreciated.

Thanks but nothing new here that isn't in the K-Line & Greenberg Service books. Hoping someone with experience taking this car apart would offer some advise.

You need to bend the railing out to disengage the pinion arm from the gear lever. Lower the adjusting tab and bend back the dump gate with the pinion arm. You can bend it with your fingers.
