I saw in the titanic set thread that the loco is supposed to have Lionels RTR diesel exhaust system. Is this feature good? I am wondering because I have never seen this effect in conventional.
I haven't seen it either, but it's a newer feature. I think the first set to have it was the Canadian RS3 set in the last catalog. I know it was reviewed in CTT, but I can't remember what they said about the smoke.

There's nothing new or revolutionary about smoke units in diesels.
