I'm gonna buy every smoke fan motor they have....then sell them for regular price as folks need them.

Dumb question....does anyone have a list of what parts to buy in general?  More specifically, if you have a decent amount of Lionel products are there any particular parts that are always good to have on hand?  50% off is too good to pass up but I don't have a specific list of anything I currently need.  I was thinking things like wicking/batting, smoke unit (is there one that many engines use?), not sure what else.  Anyone have any good ideas what to buy that's always good to have on hand?  Thanks, BigRail

I had to order some parts for a beat up Vision Line Challenger. Many were call for availability. 

I would  call on Friday morning and have your PN's list request ready. Also have the rest of your part list ready to go so you can complete your order. Saturday and Sunday last year there was an error in the 50% off screen. And nobody was there to speak too.  I completed my order and immediately called Monday morning. There was a glitch in the system, otherwise I would have had to pay full price.

I have also tried and am at the step to enter my cc info and it's still showing the regular price... am I missing something?

I guess that I will skip ordering any replacement motor brushes. Nobody with expertise ever commented on the thread about brush resistance.

As far as the sale goes, I am going to wait a little while before I try to place an order. I am not surprised that the discount isn't functioning yet. Their system might need a little human attention.

The system was broke last year too. I placed my order Sunday night and then called in the following morning and confirmed everything was 50% off. They might not even be in yet this morning...

I just placed an order for around $800, it correctly calculated a 50% discount at the last step.  Yes, the discount is calculated after you enter your credit card information, it's on the final page just before you place the order.

I completed my order at around 8:20am eastern and received a confirmation email by 8:30am. It correctly calculated the discount. I wonder if maybe you had items in the cart before 12:01it won't discount.  Maybe it calculates based on time put in the cart. 

I suspect you're right about the discount calculation.  I'd just empty the cart and start over if you don't see the discount.  Since I had all my items in a text file, it was just a copy/paste operation for me to add items to the cart.

I went back to my original parts order and the discount was there.   The discount was displayed before entering the CC information as well.    It musta been too early when I tried the first time (12:15 AM here in Ohio).

I am trying to do an order now, it says discount, but then the price is still the same, and not 50% off....

Must be browser related. My current cart shows $464 in charge and $464 in discounts.

I have noticed that some unavailable parts are now available.  That's sure a good thing.  Also I do love a $464 charge and a $464 discount!  Ima gonna change my order from a pallet load to a trailer load!

This is what I was interested in. They will not sell any shells with the note "contact lionel"

Ordered my parts at 1:00AM and didn't get the discount. One of the girls from Lionel called me at around 10:00AM to tell me they cancelled my order and reordered everything for me but needed my CC info. Never got an email with the discount but when I sign on to MyLionel it's there.

Among other things, I wanted to order a few of the limit switches (tiny!) used on the TMCC (or Legacy) Crane Car, but no parts list is available. I have seen the exploded view of the Cranes showing these tiny limit switches, but cannot remember which catalog number the crane was. Does anyone know how to access these parts; i.e., for these cranes?
