Hi everyone,

Just wanted to throw this out there far enough in advance, regarding the annual parts sale at Lionel.

When Lionel hosts our 5th Annual Warehouse Sale on November 4, 5 and 6 2016 all of our Customer Service Replacement Parts will be 50% off the price shown.

While this really isn't anything new, we used to do this during our Customer Service Open House events in Ohio (Oh, how I don't miss those concrete skies!) we figured it was time we brought it back to run in conjunction with our warehouse sale event. To find out more info on the warehouse sale event you can click here: Lionel 5th Annual Warehouse Sale Event

Couple things to cover;
The discount will be automatically applied to your order when you check out. Shipping rates are not discounted.

To obtain the 50% discount you must order on-line. No part orders will be taken during the warehouse sale event or over the phone (in fact Lionel Customer Service will be closed promptly at 5pm on Friday November 4th, so if you're in town swing by Lionel Customer Service BEFORE 4:30pm!)

The 50% off part order special will run from 12:01am on Friday 11/4/16 through 11:59pm on Sunday 11/7/16. Any times before or after these times part orders will be regular price.

We hope that if you're in town you'll swing by and meet the staff and see our new digs (well, 2 year old digs, but new nonetheless!)

Thank you,

Mike

Dumb question....does anyone have a list of what parts to buy in general?  More specifically, if you have a decent amount of Lionel products are there any particular parts that are always good to have on hand?  50% off is too good to pass up but I don't have a specific list of anything I currently need.  I was thinking things like wicking/batting, smoke unit (is there one that many engines use?), not sure what else.  Anyone have any good ideas what to buy that's always good to have on hand?  Thanks, BigRail

Mike,

If I am ordering a shell for an engine that has "contact Lionel". How do I do so and get the discount during the sale?

Can we revisit this?

thanks!

I had to order some parts for a beat up Vision Line Challenger. Many were call for availability.

I would  call on Friday morning and have your PN's list request ready. Also have the rest of your part list ready to go so you can complete your order. Saturday and Sunday last year there was an error in the 50% off screen. And nobody was there to speak too.  I completed my order and immediately called Monday morning. There was a glitch in the system, otherwise I would have had to pay full price.

Smoke wicking/batting. Traction tires.

I'm buying snowplows/handrails that are commonly broken.

I'm going to place my order tomorrow when it (hopefully) gets fixed.  I am so tired of the "nothing works and nobody cares" mentality that pervades so much of American life.  Yes I am old, cranky, and retired.  How did you know?  Now get off my lawn.

LOL! I am cranky,  feel old and also tired, but I agree with you; "nothing works and nobody cares" ...

Try later today when the Parts store opens...

Among other things, I wanted to order a few of the limit switches (tiny!) used on the TMCC (or Legacy) Crane Car, but no parts list is available. I have seen the exploded view of the Cranes showing these tiny limit switches, but cannot remember which catalog number the crane was. Does anyone know how to access these parts; i.e., for these cranes?

Thx!

Alex
