Just answered a similar question via email, so let me try to explain, so everyone is aware. Body shell part numbers that end in a suffix of 002 means that the only thing we have done to the shell is remove the screws that mount it to the frame. As the suffix increases it means we have taken parts off of it. So, a suffix of 007 means the lighting boards are likely gone as well as any removable hatches; radiator hatches, programming switch access hatches, etc. If the suffix number goes any higher we have stripped even more parts from it. We typically stop at 007, as taking parts off any shell starts to create irreversible deco damage, which winds up with otherwise nice shells in the dumpster (and nobody wants that!). The same goes for tender suffixes T02 (just screws removed), T07; other parts removed and so on.

We typically keep a large selection of what we call "scrap shells" these are shells that have some form of decoration damage (that renders it unable to be sold as a "new" shell). Anyone who has been to Ohio or NC in the service department has seen the vast collection of "scrap" shells we inventory. Why do we keep them? Because  we don't like to not have a resolution to a problem!

Thanks,
Mike
