when the item ships from China?
or
when the item arrives at the Lionel warehouse?

Assume this dock strike will impact shipment dates.
At the present time, I believe one might assume that the east coast shipping strike, depending on its duration, could very well affect port of entry, customs clearance, over-land transport, and final destination dates for a good many consumer goods, including our beloved trains. The old "patience is a virtue" likely applies here!

My PM #1225 along with the other Berks in the run show today 10/28
the site is odd, things have a date, then that date comes, then the date changes, then the date is totally gone. then next thing you know its in stock, then you have to wait it to get to your dealer
I ordered the Chessie Berkshire from Metca and received an email about 2 weeks ago. While at York I asked Stu when I could expect it . He said by Thanksgiving. That’s giving his volunteers some time (2 weeks).
I tracked one of my 2024 orders, July, then Sept, then in October I checked and it said December. 3 days later I got notified it was in and time to pay for the pre-order. Had it a week later. In some cases, they may not know until they start unpacking the shipments.
They finally have released the Berkshires with the old K-line tooling. Upgraded now with Whistle steam. They were really late.
I thought these would never come out.

There's a vid on Youtube of a new 2024 PM 1225 Berkshire, the smoke box door and firebox are painted a light silver? I was expecting a mostly black engine like the previous releases.

Yes, I believe he's saying the Berkshire shell originally came out in 2003 and this is the latest version. The 2003 TMCC Berkshire shell was not painted like this one with bright silver paint.
