Lionel Signal question

I recently purchased the Lionel Mainline Color Position Signal and a Lionel 153IR controller. For some reason, it only works when a train travels past it in one direction only. I checked the wiring and it is correct- Is this the way it is supposed to function, or am I doing something wrong-Thanks-Rolf

Rolf: The 153R should activate no matter the direction; have you tried adjusting the sensitivity control to see if that helps?

Yup- that did it- increased the sensitivity- works well now- thanks very much-Rolf
