Hi guys, a few weeks ago, I recieved my Lionel legacy mikado back from Lionel for smoke unit repairs. Ever since, it has been running great. Flash forward to today, and I noticed that while it was idling, the smoke coming out of the smoke stack is coming out in a thin stream, rather than a flowing cloud of smoke as usual. Im not sure what to make of it. It still smokes fine, but it just started doing this today. Can anyone please help me? Thanks!

Oh, and thought I should ask, is this normal? Or is this a problem? Please help, this worries me!
Give a little puff of air down the stack. Most likely is a bit clogged with fluid. Mine do this occasionally and the puff gets 'em going again.
Is it making any noises at all?
It seems that Lionel is going through a batch of bad fan motors lately that develop bad bearings and make a sqealing noise.
Yours may be affected. The fan may be binding and running slowly, thus the thin plume of smoke.

I use a non scientific method that's works for me. Blue smoke(hot) add a few drops until white smoke comes out. seems to keep it running evenly as not to over or under fill
Rod, thanks for the reply. As I said, I got the smoke unit repaired by Lionel a few weeks ago with no problems. I blew a puff of air down the stack, and this seemed to help. It was slightly louder than usual when the smoke had the issue, but it seems to be ok now.

Matt;
Sorry, guess I missed that.
Wait and see I guess?
