Eric, I havent heard of anyone getting a Daylight version, I thought it was in the second shipment. Also from what I have heard they were rather popular
Great video & review. What a gorgeous layout.
Excellent review... and super gorgeous layout!
Sounds like this may have been recorded a while ago, and I think the commentary about split shipments -- particularly as it pertains to Daylight models -- is less than accurate based on what we now know. The Daylight version is hands-down a very popular choice -- regardless of the fact that it's a fantasy paint scheme. And to the best of my knowledge... aside from the pre-production model Lionel had on display at October's York, the production Daylight models will all ship in December. Charlie Ro's website is showing a Dec 23rd arrival at their store. And Charlie from Nassau Hobbies just posted a Lionel shipment date of 12/15, which would be consistent with arrival in stores later that same week or earlier the following week.

I always learn something new from watching your reviews, Eric. This one was no exception.
I think it was also cool that the review was done at a friend's layout for a change, and he has such a great one to boot!
Oh, and that I agree Lionel has done a great job on these new, now-Legacy engines.
And judging by what others have said already, the Daylight version is likely in the same shipment as the 4294 version. Something tells me they'll be here in December rather than November as well.
Thanks Eric! Your videos are great!
Eric
I assume these unit have the "Oil Fill" sound effect as well as sequence control?
Great video. It made my workout go by much faster!
Oh. My. And the layout. Oh. My-oh-my. I have the Legacy USRA 2-8-2 pre-ordered (L&N; Legacy Station), and this just made me look forward to it even more.
Funny. I just spent a couple of hours today running my cab-forward on a public display
Christmas layout in the area.
Of course, mine is an early MTH Premier AC-6 with Protosound-1...bit of a difference. Still
like the old thing (new condition); runs well; but now I'm thinking ERR Cruise, Railsounds.
Strangely, as it is an MTH, the smoke unit does not work.
Once again Eric Great video, your friends layout is beautiful! I really enjoy
your videos on the progress of your layout and the reviews of the locomotives!
Keep up the great work!! and Thanks!!
FANTASTIC Review, Keep up the good work........GLAD I ordered one!!!

If its possible, I think Eric's reviews get better and better with each and every new review/post.
It still boggles my mind how he is not on the O-Gauge manufacturers' payrolls; hands down the best videos on O Gauge trains out there!
Best,
Michael
You can really tell that he filmed this somewhere other than his layout, the famous green pointing stick must have been left at home and had limited on camera time
Eric, this is Fantastic, Well Done, and Really Desired. You are doing Your Review on one of the Layouts Featured on Video 10---OGR THE VIDEO......Its a really well Sceniced layout and many weathered engines and cars....WOW, Happy Railroading, Leapin Larry.
Great video!!!!!
Wonderful video as usual. Those of us who have one on order appreciate the advanced look.
Eric,,
Thanks for the very detailed and informative review. This engine has been on my want list for many years ; I came close to ordering the first Lionel version, and even the MTH version. For some reason I talked myself out of the purchase each time.
I jumped on the chance to order one this time around. It looks like it will be a nice after Christmas present this year for many of us.
Have a good week,
Richard
