I still own the very first TMCC locomotive from 1995, the SP 2380 GP-9.
It always worked well on its factory ID#1, but I recently removed the battery and reprogrammed it to ID#23. It immediately began acting strangely. On powering the track, the diesel sound came on immediately before inputting ID#23. After ID23 input, it now responds to Throttle, REV, 8&9 (strobe light off/on) and AUX2 (head lights off/on). The whistle and bell don’t work, nor does button 5 – shutdown.
I wanted to try an engine reset, but to my surprise, the original manual lists only ID reset. There is no mention of engine reset. Does that feature exist in this loco, or did that come later?
