Running it under our tree the silhouettes are illuminated, but the folks paying top dollar for the upstairs seats are sitting in the dark. Has anyone added LED's to these?? Pics??

Excellent topic. I put GRJ's designed module and LED strip lights in a different road name of those same dome cars for a fellow club member, but did not light the upper deck. I've returned the cars to him but will ask him to allow me to experiment with lighting the upper deck.
The LED strip lighting is a huge improvement over the two bulbs, but the dark upper deck makes the car seem incomplete.
I've lit the domes of a number of cars, the design of the dome dictates what kind of lighting you use. I've posted a number of passenger car lighting threads here, including dome cars.

Here's a Williams car from years ago...
It actually had no deck or passengers, so I cut seats from some wood trim and populated it with Chinese figures.
Here's an MTH Reading Crusader dome with lighting. Since there was no ceiling that I could put the light strips on, I opted for wall lighting.
