Can anyone who has gotten the post pictures and especially videos? I won't be home for a few weeks to see mine. Thanks!

I don't think they have been released. Only the theater car has just been delivered to the dealers.
I'd like to hear the station sounds in it.

Someone put a picture of one on a post about the Pacifics.
A few places have it in stock, allegedly. I ordered two from different sources which will be repainted "auto-train."

The OP has seen this already but here is the only photo I have seen to date:

Well this is a "first for me!" Why didn't Charlie Ro mentioned this regarding my preorder?
I haven't been notified by Legacy Station yet either.
I got 2 of the 4 domes I have ordered. My intent is to repaint these into my 1970s autotrain project. However, 1 will remain Reading & Northern simply because this car is absolutely stunning!
I know nothing about Reading and Northern, but they must be a great operation to maintain some nice passenger stock. I really only bought these for repaint. But now really am happy having an extra car to keep as a stunningly beautiful private car. Lionel, nice job !

I plan to repaint mine as either my own railroad or Iowa Pacific "Scenic View".
Can anyone post a video of it. Would love to hear the sounds of it.
I saw one behind the counter in a box at Nicholas Smith yesterday. I didn’t hear it in the box obviously. It’s the same “too light” maroon as the NS car. They must have just gotten them in though, theater cars and stuff were still being unpacked.
By now, someone on the forum must have heard one of these cars in operation and be able to say, er, what it says. I assume that Lionel has used similar dialogue as in the Legacy diners but there was a great deal of road-specific (and indeed diner-specific) content in those and I wonder what they have come up with for these cars?
I thought about posting a new thread on this as the Theater Cars have grabbed all of the attention but don’t want to pre-empt the OP.

If it gets us a video I don't mind haha

My thoughts exactly. There doesn't seem to be one out there anywhere, including YouTube. It might be more entertaining/informative than the rear view mirror of the Theater Cars! Can't understand the absence.
P.S. I am waiting for the UP version of these cars unless it never comes in which case the Santa Fe is tempting (but I think not made yet).
I'd like to hear the stationsounds of it.
Depending on how these turn out I might get the Santa Fe one ruben they do it.

That’s interesting although nothing wholly unexpected. The video is of the car’s sounds when stationary and they are similar to the Legacy StationSounds diners, including car/railroad-specific announcements. There will be a different set of sounds when the car is moving. I assume that the manual when available will confirm the operation is the same as the diners.
The announcements are voiced by the same couple of people who did some of the Legacy diner sounds, guy doing the conductor voice and gal doing the backgroud voice. Probably there will be one or two more doing passengers, I assume including the “L’il Timmy” sequences.
These sound-equipped cars are are a fine effort by Lionel and show what can be done with the newer Legacy sound technology.
I just got an email todat from Charlie Ro. These cars have been delayed.( A victim of the china mfg. shutdown.)

Mine is at Legacy Station and others have theirs.

It appears only the Reading and Northern made it out. I have yet to hear from others with a Conrail and/or CSX Station Sounds Dome car.
No figures in that station sounds dome car? And, for a fall excursion trip?
I've added extra figures to Lionel's MR dome cars, not terribly hard, just unplug molex plugs and slide out interior, but am not sure I would attempt it in a station sounds car. Has anyone attempted this?
I don't believe Lionel did a CSX version because the car went to NS. Not sure why, but there's very little of these on the interwebs.
Hi PAUL,
I have the R & N dome car and I was thinking the same thing. If I remember reading somewhere that Lionel glued the 21 inch cars at some points on the car? I can't remrember if this is true or not. I just might be having a ghost car?
I plan on opening mine up later this week to install figures.

I am not doing the painting. Very talented custom painter in Pittsburgh is doing these. Paint is matched to the MTH auto train 75' car carriers made in 2006. MTH never followed with passenger cars. Not wanting to wait 48 years for MTH to finish the set, I decided to custom paint this train with scale cars.
Thanks Brian ! I will post a thread for the whole train in the near future.
Like he said, this should look great and I also look forward to your thread on the full train. 👍🏻
