I had this old Lionel Sunoco 3 dome tanker which had a weathering job gone bad. I had time so I decided to re-make this into something I can use in a LIRR consist. Northville was a gas chain here on LI a while ago, so I decided on a nostalgia car. Here some pictures of work in progress and some of the completed car. BTW I made the decals on my inkjet printer.

Super job.
Looks great Steve. You gave an old train new life.
I just printed some decals tonight for a custom car. First time doing it. I hope it comes out looking as good as yours.

Nice job!
Nice job, the decals look great.
Looks great; nice job on the decals--whose decal paper did you use; what printer?
Making decals my next project.
Thanks for the many accolades.
Just go online, AMAZON and search for decal paper. Two things to look for with getting the paper . 1. THIS IS CRITICAL - Make sure to get the correct paper to match your printer Laser print vs Inkjet, both are available. 2. watch for the paper size, sometimes the paper comes in A4 which is a European standard I got this by mistake and luckily my HP inkjet was able to adapt..
With the inkjet paper you must seal the decals after the print has had time to dry. I used Krylon Clear coat gloss..Go on and give it a shot
Ron Good luck with your project and share some pictures when done.
Carl I used my last sheets on this project so dont remember the brand. But there are several available online
