Need some help with this engine # 6-30025 ,it has been running fine except there are no puffing sounds & it does not respond to crew talk,although there isn't much to start with ,it does respond to all other commands ,such as smoke,horn,bell reverse,speed control is fine ,i just finished putting oil on the moving parts ,cleaned the pick up rollers & the track,thats all i did ,i tried the reset button but nothing changed ,any ideas what i can do next ?The engine number is 2743.

Problem solved ,me stupid i went down to the layout & for some reason i took another look at the engine & when i turned it over the switch for the rail sounds was off ,somehow while i was lubricating & cleaning the engine i shut the switch off by accident,all is well now.

I agree Rod ,simple is right up my alley for my little brain.
I did it too! Just the other way around. Turned lites off in my station sounds diner using f2 on handheld! That thought hit me 1 second before I turned the first screw to "check er out". I was relieved and felt a little silly at first to say the least. I normally run 3 trains and run through a shutdown sequence for each at end of operations which includes turning off lighting. I had just gotten this car and addressed to loco # as suggested by lionel. Lol
