One of my Lionel TMCC U33C has developed a strange fault, I have taken it apart and checked for dirt and loose boards but the problem is still there
Engine works fine at high speed 30MPH + and at very low speeds 2-10MPH
but in the mid range 25MPH it runs for a couple of circuits then suddenly decides to drop down to a lower speed of about 10MPH then it picks up again. This fault is repeated randomly, one time it will complete two circuits without an error then on the next round it might display the reduced speed effect several times. It never stops the lights never dim and all the TMCC features work perfectly.
Might this be a sign of the speed control board going home ? is it time for an ERR upgrade ?
