Hi All,

My mother bought a Lionel Lone Ranger engine and tender, plus a couple of cars, from HobbySpeed as a Christmas gift for my son.  I put the train on the layout tonight and the engine runs fine but no sound from the tender.  I played with the on/off switch a few times and adjusted the volume.  Still nothing.  I take the cover of the tender and it is clear I am not the first to do so.  Inside there are several wires that terminate in white connectors but there is nothing for them to connect to.  There is a space that seems to be reserved for whatever these connectors should go to.  Does anyone have a picture or a description of what should be inside the tender?

Thanks!

I got the tender back from Lionel today.  The guys at Hobby Speed worked quickly to coordinate a warranty repair for the issue and Lionel turned it around in about three weeks.  Really good communication from both companies.  Now everything is working as it should.  The whistle and bell sounds are better than I thought they would be though I can't understand why Lionel programed the sound of someone talking on a two-way radio on a sound board for a steam train.

You aren't the only one to notice

Gosport style speaking tubes are almost your answer...except for over and out
