I bought the set below from a forum friend. It is a beautiful set and runs great. It has the old style e-unit in. I cannot get the Trainsounds to work correctly. The track is clean, and am running it fastrack.
When trainsounds are on, the chuffing is intermittent and whistle sounds briefly without depressing whistle button.
I remember when I purchased a few years ago, he suggested not using a CW80, as it was noted somewhere here on the forum that sounds would not work with this transformer. I did a search and could not find thread.
Tonight tried running with an MTH z1000, still has same issues.
