I have a Lionel #60 and need to change the bulb - 2 different Lionel sources give 2 different bulb numbers - is it a #53 or a #57. The instructions say #53 but the Lionel bulb replacement chart says #57

I believe it is a #53 but wanted to check

I have an original with the silver paint on top it was a 53. Guess Lionel had trouble with heat issues on the early ones. The 57 operates on the same voltage as the 53 I wonder if the globe is bigger?

It should be a 53.
The 57 is higher wattage (hotter) at 3.4W versus the 53, which is 1.7W. The 57 globe is also larger.

Thank you very much for this information. I knew the globe was larger but I didn't know the wattage. Is there a reference chart anywhere that would have all the bulbs ?
