No, I never did. But, 2 to 3 percent should not be a big problem. I would be careful of putting your bumpers on the grade though I think the car would  have to be going a little too fast on the up side to cause a bounce and then derail on the down side. Just a guess.

Thanks - I know they can move along pretty well on level ground. 

I still have to build the incline but it may be closer to 4%.

Hi Sean, I like to tell people to try and build a temporary grade first to see if what you wont to do will work. I learned the hard way that sometimes in our hobby what works on a flat surface fails miserably on a grade.

Four percent should be a four inch rise on a hundred in run.

Thanks GG1Man - I will try that idea of a dummy incline using books to prop one end up and increase it as I go along.
