I just had the same thing happen to crane boom car. I'm trying to find another Lionel car that has a 2.08" coupler w/coil and just un-doing the c-clip the holds it in place to swap it out. I think a caboose would work best so you can get a whole truck with the collector roller. If anyone has any of these parts please let me know.
