hmmm... my Walking Zombie Breakman Car is no longer on the list.

uh oh.  I really wanted that zombie car too.

I'm sad.  The California Zephyr cars are now put back until January 2013.  I have the whole set on order as they were to be my Christmas present to myself. 

They have the new ZW-L pushed all the way back to May, 13. What a bummer. Was hopeing to have it for the holidays.

With the state of manufacturing overseas, don't be surprised if key items get shoved ahead another time. I recall it took nearly 2 years for the NYC 60' modern box car to arrive; I also waited 2 years for the Burning Hobo Depot. I'm still waiting for the BAR State of Maine PS-1 boxcar - that was shown in the 2011 Vol 1 catalog.

They no longer show on the shipping list, The Hershey O gauge set and the smoke pellet mint car. Yet, I just purchased both from my Hobby shop and have them home here..Go figure.

Sorry Nicole.  If there were a set of cars that would have slipped into 2013, I would have placed big bets on it being the Milwaukee Road cars!!!    But according to the latest shipping schedule, those are still slated for 2012, albeit December -- after being delayed for SO long.  Or so we can at least hope.

The biggest disappointment here has to be the ZW-L... now pushed out ANOTHER 6 months, after folks at the LCCA convention this summer were told it was imminent... then delayed a couple times by 1 month here and there.

As I've said before, I have absolutely NO PROBLEM when these delays occur.  I just hate when the companies take the airlines' approach.  So at least this time, Lionel is being honest in setting expectations that we're not gonna see the ZW-L anytime soon.  Will they lose a few sales to MTH Z4000's now?  Yes.  But that's inevitable anyway, 'cause they would have lost those sales when folks who needed something soon didn't see the ZW-L on shelves next January, February, March, etc... So the aggravation factor has now been mitigated somewhat.

Meanwhile, the credit cards and checkbooks get a breather for awhile... no deal-breakers here.  Just spend a little more freely at York now!

This is a nice touch.  I noticed that the UP 4-12-2 #9000 that shipped previously in May has been tough to find these days at stores, and the big dealers have been expecting a second shipment... which the shipping schedule now shows as "partial shipment" in November 2012.  Thx...

Lionel website still shows the Tower for "Sept. '12."

As fo 10/9, the Control Tower wa listed for Sept. 2012. As of 10/10, it has been moved back to December 2012.

I see the 6-38308 Berkshire passenger set has been moved back to Dec.  I wanted to run that set during one of our December National Capital Trackers shows.  Oh well, still waiting.
