Morning all, I just wanted to throw this out there for everyone who is trying to save a buck such as I am. I have bought 2 Lionel Semi Tractor Trailers at around $25.00 plus shipping. I found the same size trucks at Walmart yesterday for $11.95 so I bought 3 of them 2 lowboys and one bark hauler and no shipping. The one on the left is Lionel and the one on the right is Walmart. IMO close enough for my money.

Looks great!
Could you post a shot of the UPC code and the manufacturers packaging?
I'd have to scale it out, but the one on the right looks like "S" gauge next to the Lionel one,( who I hope isn't using those huge New-Ray ones). Together, to my eyes, they do not look compatible, in the same scale. Wonder which, if either, scales out correctly?
Hi Swanny, I will go out the shop and get it and post it here for you. Colorado Hirailer, I am not sure what the scale is but like I said IMO they look the same size and for the money savings it works for me.
Colorado I think the different loads are throwing off perspective. One is a regular trailer and one is a low boy, length seems comparable.
A shot of tractor beside tractor without the trailers would be a good comparison. (If they disconnect)
IMHO K-line "Heavy Haulers" are the closest to 1/48. If you place a Lionel Semi-Tractor next to the K-line Semi-Tractor there is a noticeable difference. And yes, the New-Ray trucks are a bit over sized but still compatible if careful placement of the vehicle is employed. They may be used individually but not in the company of a vehicle or structure which is closer to 1/48. Just sayn'

ERTL offers a wide range of 'scale' trucks - 1:16, 1:25, 1:32, 1:43 and 1:64 to list a few.
Here's their truck catalog: <https://www.diecastdirect.com/...sp?Mfg=ER&Type=T>

The Lionel white/LP truck was produced for Laimbeer Packing (who produced the boxes for Lionel trains).
This company was/is owned by Bill Laimbeer (former Detroit Piston).
Great find. I like scale stuff, but I'm not a rivet counter. Those would work well for my money too. Menards sells stuff like this too.
Mike G,
Great find buddy I have been looking to pick up a couple of these at a decent cost, will stop into Walmart next time I am over that way. You found them in the toy section right!

Yep, Toy section it is! They change out trucks ever so often!
Semper Fi Mike!
The Lionel Tractors and Trailers imported from Taiwan or China were made so that they measure out properly in 1/64th scale from the side, but are wider for traditional O gauge.
