$200 Gs on model trains and can't pay a phone bill. Ok.....
Maybe he just needs an orange phone with a direct line to Lionel
200K's on trains, this is amazing, all I can say is he must have a very understanding wife, or he really wears the pants in his family. I think his investment in trains is ok, but a little at a time would have been more logical. I can not say that he over spent, as many of us on the forum have this much or even more invested in our hobby...Putting this into perspective, if his investment was with one or two dealers, he deserves a free VL GG1?????? Wow...Either way, Yes, to getting the VisionLine GG1....

There is no excuse for paying long distance today. They have offers with no contract thru cable companies, Fios etc without having to get cable TV and the cost will be much cheaper than the old standard copper landline. Our plan with our local cable includes phone with with all features plus unlimited domestic and international calling, 100 mbs internet with wifi, and HD cable TV. No HBO etc. $129.90 per month.
Hi, any chance anyone know of someone selling a Vision Line GG1 5 stripe either the Green or Tuscan??? Thanks!

@M J Breen has a single stripe Brunswick for sale. Not sure if you're dead set on a five stripe, but might be an acceptable solution.

I've got the 6-82749 #4935 Brunswick *5 stripe*... shot me an email. I love it but my layout only has one (1) O72 loop... and, no reversing loop on that line. Shoot me an email.
I have been one of the lucky ones who's JLC version didn't have zinc rot on the side frames. Other than wanting to replace the pantographs with fine scale brass ones that can ride under a trolley wire, I've had good luck with it. It is a great model and the only true scale version outside of the Sunset ones in 3 rail. I have the Sunset 4800's in 1st Lowey scheme and Conrail Bicentennial. Great models too, so the Vision Line one isn't of particular interest to me outside of the Amtrak version with the correct modified filters. However, I would like to track down a JLC Penn Central version once the price becomes reasonable.

I think I came across that one when I was trying to find someone who might some left over stock. I'm really set on the 5 stripe models but I greatly appreciate you helping me out. Ultimately I would like to try and find new but I am open to purchasing used if price is right.
Do you think Lionel will ever run these again? If so do they ever run Vision line models more then once?
Matthew...
I just emailed you… and, it bounced *twice* …then I attempted to PM you... no go.
BTW... I'm a programmer ...and run my own servers. it's not on my end.

I have one of those in captivity as well. I was surprised when I was hearing all the horror stories, but I poked and prodded the sideframes and closely inspected them, perfect condition. I even had one off to test the Henning's replacement frames, and got a good look at it on all sides, not a hint of rots or warping.
Mine's all good too John... great runner ...when ran. A little dusty from sitting on the shelf.

I think I will need to purchase a set of Henning's replacements to hedge my bets just in case. My 4925 is worth 2 railing one day so I want it to last.
