As amazing as that figure may be, I don't doubt it. As I mentioned, it's a fantastic engine. With those kind of numbers, I'm especially happy that I already own one.

I have one also, my favorite along w the new Big Boy. Got mine for $1500 including shipping two years ago, like new including the box and shipping box. I felt bad for the original owner who had just lost his job and needed the cash. I bought it thru this forum.

FWIW, there is one on DaBay for $3300/OBO.

But the real ATSF 2-10-10-2 bargain there is one for $879 - of course it's Westside, brass and HO - but otherwise the same.

Wow, $1,925.  Works out to $2,236.64 with fee and shipping (could be more on shipping).

The early  VL stuff is bringing top dollar.  I watched a UP VL Challenger bring $1700 the other day (22 bids!)...

Hobby Express in Cranberry,PA (north of Pittsburgh @ I-79 & PA turnpike)has this engine for either $2000 or MSRP - I saw it there last week.

Perhaps this is another sale ,with asking Price $3,299.00

its a great loco i sold mine some time ago due to finanical needs at the time and do regret it today so if you find one they are great and sound awesome
