Lionel Warehouse Sale in September

Don't know, never been down for one.  I'd actually like to go, just to see what it's like.

I have been a couple of times.  I’m about a 4 hour drive from the NC coast.  The first time, I scored a Legacy BTO Southern Pacific SD40-2 at 40% off.  They were kind enough to leave the note that said both couplers didn’t - they were fixed and the unit is flawless, otherwise.  The second trip I only got a 50 ft double door boxcar and some smoke fluid.  I like scale and, probably, only 10% of the product is scale.

Disappointed that there is no announcement for the LCCA friends and family.  Since that has always been pretty crowded, I have to imagine that a Saturday free for all will be a zoo.

@MartyE thanks for posting.  The 50% Warehouse Sale is a great value to me  and being two months earlier will let me get what I need sooner.

Perhaps LIONEL moved up the Warehouse sale to capture our $$$ before York???

My first time was last year. I scored a scale Polar Express Berkshire and SP Salas Bowl Express. Both were great deals. I was in Charlotte Store in February and picked up a VL Clinchfield Challenger at a great price. The February was a whim drive and lucky find. I live in Oak Ridge and it is a 4 hour drive each way. I have circled the date on my calendar.

Sounds like there are some great deals to be found. Thanks all, I'll definitely consider it.
