Let's identify the terminals:
There are two brass brush holders mounted in the black plastic plate on top.
There is a solder terminal mounted in between those two brush holders. The solder terminal has a lead going to the field coil.
There is a second solder terminal mounted underneath one of the screws that holds the black plastic plate in place. This solder terminal also has a lead going to the field coil.

To test your motor:
Attach a jumper wire from one brush holder to the solder terminal mounted in the center.
Attach a power lead to the other brush holder.
Attach the remaining power lead to the solder terminal that is mounted to the screw holding the cover in place.

The motor should run.
