It is a BEAUTIFUL thing!

We have begun the task of processing your cars.  Mailing labels are being printed and the first load of cars should be in the mail tomorrow.

To everyone who ordered a White Castle Refrigerated TOFC, thank you for your patience.  Thank you for your tolerance and understanding during these trying economic times.  We look forward to working with Lionel as they move forward through these challenging waters.

Once the White Castle cars are on their way to you we will release our next Collectible Car for your approval.  It is going to be a very special celebratory car with art work by a very well-known caboose artist.  It’s waiting in the wings right now!!

Thank you for supporting the Railroad Museum of Long Island,

Hi Terry,

This earlier thread has a photo of the car:

We order ten extra cars in case there are damaged cars in shipping that must be replaced.  We do entertain a waiting list for these extra cars.  Once all the pre-orders are shipped and received by our members we render the extra cars that are available.  You would not receive a stand-by car until late December, once everyone else has their car in hand.

At this time there are five stand-by cars available.  If you are interested, please e-mail me at  dfisher@rmli.us  for ordering information.

Thanks for your interest!
Don

Gentle Forum Members'

Thank you!  All White Castle Refrigerated TOFC's on stand-by are spoken for.  No more W/C TOFC cars are available from the RMLI.

Stand by cars will not ship to successful stand-bys until the end of December, we will be in contact with you.  All pre-ordered W/C TOFCs are in the mail as of 12 noon yesterday, 11/13.

Enjoy your cars folks,

Don

Thank you for your kind words David!

We agree, the quality and workmanship on this TOFC is outstanding.  Kudos to our Lionel Team Mates in North Carolina and in China for making our vision a reality.  Thanks also to the White Castle family of stores for their support of the RMLI, allowing us to make this unique brand car.

And now - for a sneak peek at the 2014 RMLI Collectible Car.

This will be a Lionel Operating Aquarium car body and mechanism.  It celebrates the 50th Anniversary of RMLI’s 1964 Allan Herschell G-16 Park Train operated at the Long Island Railroad Pavillion of the 1964 – 1965 New York World’s Fair.  This G-16 train set is restored and continues to run at RMLI’s Riverhead NY site and brings smiles to everyone who rides and remembers the NY World's Fair.

Please observe the colorful artwork of the train and background scenery as the filmstrip passes the lighted windows of the car.  Painted by renowned caboose artist, Mr. George  Wybenga, the art depicts the actual train and great artifacts located at the Riverhead RMLI site.  See more of George's work at www.cabooseart.com

This limited run car will be of interest to Lionel Collectors, fans of the historic New York World’s Fair and the many lovers of park trains and Grand Scale Railroading!

Enjoy, more information to follow!
