Lionel WWII Boxcars

Just received the new WWII Boxcars. Paint looks great. They feel different than previous PS-1 Boxcars I have gotten from Lionel. They have a plastic frame, 50% of wheel trucks are plastic, and the catwalk is solid. I do like the build date on the cars… I don’t think we were still “give ‘‘em ****” in 1947 lol Happy to have them produce a unique item/set. I was curious if this is a tooling from another manufacture or if they just changed their own tooling.
