Chris Lonero brought his Lionel Lines Zephyr (6-38864) by today for a run. What a superb train. After running it a few times around Marty didn't want to let Chris take it home. Lionel hit a home run with this one, for sure.

That IS nice!! Very sleek-looking.

That is cool!!!
I love that version...very sharp.
Very nice looking set.
A traveling Zephyr. I love it. The three of you would assure a good time, never mind a great train to run. But, Marty knows where to get one.
That is one sweet train!
PTC i agree Marty knows where to get 1. just go to Chris' house with a blue tub and have Dotty keep him busy. (referencing the $64,000 theft post)

Oh don't worry Brian; Marty already has one in the pipe line. Marty liked it so much I had to leave the car running so I could get it back out the door!!
Guys, as you know I have a few passenger sets. This train is off the charts. I never knew anyone could make something this great. Metal body, LED lighting, Legacy, smoke, and full interior. Fantastic.
That is one awesome machine!
If you guys ever make it to Chicago be sure to head straight to the Museum of Science and Industry to see the real one inside and out. They have a great tour where the whole car even sways as if on the rails with video screens in the windows to simulate a ride.

That sounds pretty cool!
Mine should be here 4-22-15. I am not bragging or anything...
And someone once asked, "Does this forum influence your purchases?"
Yes, I have been in the real one in Chicago.
Yes, the video is impressive.
No, this wasn't on my wish list.
Yes, with the glowing reports, now it is!
I must resist. This just has to stop!!
I have the burlington one, but The blue is beautiful
OOOOPS! I think I may have started this!
Brian, (I like the first name thingy from another thread) it occurs to me that the addition of a Zephyr could be a catalyst for a little layout rework to accommodate it. Said simply, the hours of entertainment that the Zephyr could provide would be hard to quantify. My council is to resist the resistance. And then blame Chris Lorenzo for this whole mess. I did.
Correction, Chris Lonero. Not Lorenzo.I'm sure there is a Chris Lorenzo out there and he is probably a nice guy...
OK You guy's talk to me after you get yours! I'm just saying.
Wow that's beautiful !!!!!!
Alex
It's the only train I have that seems to glide around your layout rather than chug.
Like all above, I think my Mark Twain set is really, really cool. I just keep hoping Lionel issues an addition coach for the sets as the real ones did.

I agree Peter; While the tree car set is still beautiful one add on car would be nice.
I saw one of those at a recent train show. Although I won't be buying one (I don't have the room for the kind of wide, sweeping curves it needs), I was highly impressed with its looks.
Very cool but I will have to make do with my 1935 model.

Resistance is Futile....
Most of us are TrainAholics....We need a cure
Brian, thank goodness that the York Meet is this week. Since the Zephyr is now on your wish list, you can take of this easily.
Like the rest of you guys it's an exciting train to enjoy and I love my Mark Twain Zephyr as well.
Chris
I couldn't help but kicking Dotty's post in the butt here.
I know David is looking forward to receiving his in the mail. So here is what I seen at the St. Louis Transportation Museum on a visit about two plus years ago. Very Nice!!
I had to toss in another pictures of a odd ball engine I seen. Thought you might like to see it as well.
