Any news on when the LionScale 57' reefers will be available? Still waiting on the Salad Bowl Express set to ship also.

Got my set of Orange ones still waiting on the white ones and the Salad express set as well they have been a long time coming. Lionel told me at York that the sets were on the water but that was April and obviously not right. I love the cars and will make an impressive set when if it ever makes it here.
If the sets are on the water that is the Lionel tooling correct? example 6-27296

I got a couple of mine from Charlie too, on the layout already. Seem fine. Still waiting on other road names. They seem to have the packaging perfected.
The set engines may well be on the water, but the cars are 100% made in the USA.

The engines have been in the US for a long time. The holdup is the EOT (Fred) light on the last reefer in the set according to Dave Olsen. Not sure why that has not been resolved, as that was told to me quite some time ago.
Anyone care to let us know what the "Car 456424 and 459699 feature special paint schemes available only in this set" paint scheme looks like? Seems it only in the six car set, hoping it is more than "uniquely" painted numbers 456424 & 459699.

Those two cars are pictured in the 2017 Sig catalog. They are part of the Salad Bowl Set ( fours cars and engine) and are not available in any of the other six car sets, from my understanding.

Each of the six car additional sets of cars has the same text in the listing, as does the set with the engine, so I assume the car sets are not sold as as listed / described. Big surprise, Lionel not delivering something as advertised, on their own site, wonder how many disappointed six pack car buyers there will be. Sure hope these are nice to make up for the issue with the cars not having unique paint or the EOT installed.

Lionel does not seem to proof read what they publish anymore. Forget the listings on the web site. The 2017 Sig. catalog kinda clearly indicated that the two unique cars were only part of the Salad Bowl set (hence the EOT car). I think that most of the people ordering the six pack knew this.
I was a the Train shack in Burbank last saturday and they had cars for sale
