While surfing the web looking for info on my favorite articulated, the Little River 2-4-4-2, which like the McKeen car, I lobby for production in three rail, I discovered that its also famous companion, the Little River 4-6-2, smallest standard gauge Pacific built, is alive and well running on a "Little River Railroad" tourist road out of Coldwater, Michigan.  I had explored the area around Townshend, Tn., and the the location of the Little River Logging Co., but did not realize this engine was extent, and good photos can be Googled, AND the critter can be ridden behind. Had heard nothing about this.  Pulled up lots of photos of the 2-4-4-2, but no such good news about it.   It went to the west coast, but is it still in existence, much less pulling tourist trains?  Models have been offered in brass 2 rail for O and HO 2-4-4-2's, but have any

been offered, in HO, possibly, for the Pacific?

I had a look, not a good one, as it was sitting in its metal pole building engine house (similar to one somebody on here wanted to model after a shortline in MD?),at the

Little River RR tourist operation in Coldwater, Mich., about halfway between Chicago

and Detroit just above the Indiana line.  The engine house is about 3 blocks west of

a classic victorian brick station, which is across from a large wooden freight station,

that is now a pizza joint. (Don't see many of those wooden freight stations these days).  The tourist train will run today, but I didn't want to stay overnight.

The loco was in the shed with its smokebox open, and there was too much around it

to get a decent photo.  There were two interesting "WWII troop train" cars being used

for passenger equiptment (as available from Weaver).  Now if they will gets its historical companion 2-4-4-2 running out in Oregon, maybe that would cattle prod one

of the manufacturers in 3 rail into modeling it.
