I buy older copies of Trains Magazine at shows and flea markets. I was not an active reader until the last few years and find the older magazines fascinating. I just finished a terrific article in the August 2004 issue titled "Rio Grande Commodities" by Mark W. Hemphill. His article about transporting commodities by rail was very informative and fun to read.

I would like to find other articles by Mr. Hemphill. Does any one have the new Trains Archive DVD that might be able to search by author?

|Thanks in advance

Thanks Hot Water. No, wonder I came away from the article with a respect for the authors knowledge of the Commodity and Rail relationship and his abilty to make even a novice like me learn a thing or two.

As far as purchasing the DVD's, I had considered it but I prefer the actual magazine and could not justify the expense. Perhaps some day though.

In the meantime, those with the DVD should have a look.
