Locking up an R2LC | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I thought I would start another thread for this issue, I am sure it happened to others. I have an R2LC, used the Aux 0 reset in the wrong engine and the engine takes off without a TMCC signal. It's like the R2LC looses it signal if this is done in the wrong engine. Thoughts?

I'm confused, how do you do a reset on the "wrong" engine? The reset happens to the addressed engine.

The reset codes are for an engine type, for example:

0	Steam engines with Signal Sounds
1	Diesel engines with Signal Sounds
2	Diesel engine with cab light and signal sounds, all Legacy diesel engines

I did a Aux zero in a diesel and it did not like that. The R2lc goes "dead", total loss of signal and the engine takes off down the track. I can't get it to reprogram to Aux 2 for the diesel it should be.

Do you really have Signal Sounds and not RailSounds?

The "normal" reset codes for RailSounds diesels are 5, 6, and 8. If you have a R2LC, you don't have a Legacy engine.
