LocoSound upgrade to PS 2.0/3.0 | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Tracking a MTH Genesis Vis rail locomotive that has Locosounds on the bay. Folks, could thus unit be upgraded to OS 2.0/3.0 easily and reasonably, assuming one could find upgrade kit.

I have been trying to find command operated Via rail Genesis locomotive for years .

Sure... This locosound Reading was upgraded from a transplant 2-8-0. I did a 100% swap and then sold the 2-8-0 identifying what I had done. I seem to recall buying the 2-8-0 for less than $150 and then sold the locosound version for $50.

So my upgrade was much cheaper than buying the upgrade kit.

I also did the same with a Williams Diesel and a Rugged rails F3.

The kits are $210, Nicholas Smith has them. PS 3.0 DIESEL UPGRADE KIT
