Ah, need those coach cars, not that thing.

Don't think we will ever get proper scale P72's. They would be about 20" long and need at least 054 curves. And the way the prices are these days, the cost of tooling would be crazy. It would probably take 2 years to produce and more than likely have errors.  I've seriously considered trying to build my own of styrene or even experimenting with brass, with all these great 70's-90's LIRR engines being released I really want the scale cars too. I'm a 90's kid so I saw these geeps every day growing up

I would prefer them in a compressed Railking.  Think of all the schemes they could do!

Island modelworks did it in 2r,  OEM's can make them, just to lazy.

I think a compressed Railking version is definitely the way to go if someone made them. I would pass cause I'm into scale passenger trains but railking 60 footers is the version that would sell; and yes there's a LOT of schemes that could be done :-)

I saw the IMW 2R model. For that price I'll try to make my own out of a sturdier material and just pick up some Mth streamlined passenger trucks. I've got LED strips, plenty of figures but not enough time to devote to building a fleet of passenger cars lol.
