If you look quickly you can see Eric waving. Taken with a lousy iphone 🙁

The iPhone isn't so lousy if you turn it horizontal. Wish I had a pasture like that.
I found living TOO close to the tracks can have side effects you wouldn't think about. My previous house was a mile from the BNSF tracks through Badger Canyon, there were a dozen heavies through there daily, mostly grain trains, and the entire house would rumble as it went by. It was ok during the day but 3 were middle of the night, the bed would vibrate and felt good until I was wide awake listening to it as well.
The NS "R" line from Columbia, SC to Charlotte, NC is just about 350 feet from my back door but I do not normally feel much in the way of vibrations when a train rolls by.
The horns tell me it's nothing like a little Michigan earthquake, tornado. Trucks on the highway don't compare. I don't like they skip places now. I can't sleep again until hear a horn.
One thing I have noticed is the trains are quieter. No hotbox squeel or wheel pounding to speak of anymore and even the engines sound quieter and vibrate less. I can recall coffee cups lightly chattering on a rack here since my youth. I haven't heard it ring in years now.
If you are unable make horizontal photos or videos with your phone turn off "Auto Rotate." j
