Nice
That is way cool!!!!!!!!
Looks like the power truck is a little displaced but an awesome find never the less!Congrats! Was it expensive?
The power truck is fine. He tested it and it worked well. forward and reverse. It's just the way it's sitting in the box. It wasn't too expensive, just under 400 with shipping. Nice clean set in the other photos on the listing.
Boxed set in good running condition is a wise purchase, easy to sell should the need arise.
the power truck floats slightly... if the exhaust port strip is original, it would be the first one i've seen that wasn't warped.
good luck... gary, founding member: MTCMDSL*

The exhaust strip looks original to me. I have several of the sets, some with original exhaust strips, some with repros. I love the Zephyrs. It is one of the few pre war trains that still interests me and I actively collect. The other pre war item I still collect is the Lionel 252's, especially in the uncommon color schemes.
Very cool indeed.
Looks great! Congratulations!
Great find !!! Thanks for showing us .
How sleek! Trains were such eye candy until recent years; I bet those Zephyrs were very popular in their day, and I wouldn’t be surprised if folks clamored to book a trip on them! Enjoy those beauties!
Cool! 👍
Just gorgeous! Congrats!
I have a boxed set also, but typical of a lot of early Flyer the box label is gone.

Well, it arrived. Better condition than I expected. I'm gonna have to wait for the weekend to clean and test it. I will folow up with pictures of my own.
