Wow, nice pictures, Beautiful scenes...I wish they would come through Tennessee. Thank You for posting....
Nice to see a few still roaming the rails....good catch!
Thanks to everyone who has replied. Chris, you would be surprised on how many are still in active service - https://www.heritageunits.com/locomotive/sub/21 and for Blue Bonnets - https://www.heritageunits.com/locomotive/sub/22 But to see them on NS for the War Bonnets, not the so called Fake Bonnets, is getting harder to see.
Very true, I live right by BNSF's Mendota sub here in Illinois and have seen a few from time to time. But not often.

Yea, I even put what I had to do yesterday aside and went to go see this as to me, this is a True Heritage Unit and eventually they'll be repainted over. You do have as railfans call them, Fake Bonnets, but I call BNSF Warbonnets which have the Warbonnet paint scheme but the roadname on the side says BNSF.
I still get a kick out of seeing UNP and Sante Fe locos rolling through Northeast Ohio!

Tony, you would be surprised as everytime I have gone to railfan so far, I've seen UP. Also tomorrow UP SP Heritage SD70ACe #1996 is leading a reefer train through Ohio, but very early in the morning. Also generally if NS doesn't want to swap power from another railroad, and they have to use a unit, if they need that unit, then they'll keep it on that train.
Also, here's the video.
That's Cool!
Could use a good coat of paint !!
There's been a handful sitting on a siding in Oklahoma City for the past year.
