All:

I am in the process of designing or acquiring some rather complex windows in order to construct a train station.  By my count, there are at least 8 different types of windows in this structure.  These windows will almost certainly have to be 3D printed, as they are not commercially available.

I need a 3D designer that can do either Item #1 or Item #2 shown below:

  1. Translate my 2D Microsoft Visio drawings (with measurements) into STL for 3D printing.
  2. Look at the photos (annotated with measurements) I supply and generate 3D drawings (STL) for printing.

Please contact me via e-mail (in profile) to discuss this further.  Serious inquiries only, please.

Thanks,

George

George,

It should not be difficult to provide both .stl and .svg... that way multiple technologies are available for the build.  Also, depending on the level of detail... it's not just the build machine ...it's more importantly the capabilities of the designer.  It could be beneficial to provide the designers with your files that they may look at them and decide whether or not they are interested in and have the capabilities to do the build.  This would save quite a bit of time and result in a better product for you.  If you would like to pursue this route you can email me the files and I will get them to the designers.
