What's wrong with it? Lionel eliminated the bar that went across the bottom of the opening, below the couple. I think the 8913 was made after the bar was eliminated. Notice there is no bare plastic where the bar would have broken off.
It didn't look like anything was missing. I thought the shell may be broken and a good repair job. I haven't seen one without before. But it LOOKS like something is missing. Jeff
Yesterday, my 213 took a dive off the table and broke the coupler. I took the front one off this engine to use on my 213. I found an after market part to add to front end.
