Looking for a particular tinplate car

LCT has issued several tinplate cars (including a boxcar) in the Lionel orange and blue scheme, but they were Standard gauge, not O. They have appeared in the 2011 and 2012 LCT catalogs.

Not saying there wasn't an O version, but I don’t recall it.

Probably a club car. Try the product locator on the MTH website. If it exists, you should be able to find it using the advanced search.

Hi Bill,  I think you're referring to items 11-70019 and 70020:  One was a 2814R style and the other a 2814.  Each had the usual blue, cream and orange paint scheme, but the colors were somewhat "opposite" on each... also the 70019 was for MTH Club members, while the other was part of the Dealer Appreciation Program.  Both were issued in 2009.  In 2010, they issued a set of 2816 inspired hoppers (70023 and 70048), again in the alternating colors and with simulated, stamped sheet steel coal loads.  2011 brought a 2820 searchlight car (70063) and a 2650-series car for the DAP.  Hope this helps.

The 2009 LCT Collector club car was a reefer.  I believe an orange boxcar was issued as part of a DAP, but I can't recall what year that was.

Thanks to all for the responses.  It turns out that what I saw was a reefer, #11-70019.  I found a vendor who has it in stock; I'm contemplating on the purchase.

Follow-up: ordered the two cars Saturday, Dec 15.  Received them Tues, Dec 18.  Not a bad delivery time at all.  Kudo's to Sidetrack Hobbies in So. Md.  They also had better prices for the two than what I found on Ebay at the time.
