Hello  hopefully my MTH tech colleagues could share if they have encountered this and perhaps a solution

I am adding PS3 to a Weaver Pocono 4-8-4.

there is a train america studio smoke unit inside.

I cut off the portion of the board and drilled a hole so that I can add the smoke elements.(2 of them)

I have put this together every way i can but i cannot isolate the elements from the smoke unit body. I have continuity from the elements to the frame of the chamber. I cannot see where it is touching.. has anyone else ran across this issue.  any ideas would be appreciated.

I have upgraded a number of engines over the last 8 years.. but this has got me stumped.

Well, obviously one of them is too close to the metal bowl, can't you bend them forward a bit to eliminate the contact?  FWIW, I've seen several other people post about putting two resistors in the same form-factor smoke unit and not having a problem.  They should fit if you position one a bit farther forward closer to the stack hole.

You should be able to position the resistors and then just slide the PCB around to insure they have clearance in all four directions.
